It Started With A blank Canvas

It started with a blank canvas,
the world I should make but I am anxious.
Making fields of pretty flowers,
to the deep blue seas takes many hours.
Mountains that can reach the clouds,
to sand covered lands with no crowds.
Now for animals as small as a mouse,
to ones as big as an elephant but not in the house.
Birds that can fly,
to fish who can swim under the blue sky.
Oh how I love them all,
creatures small and tall.
Guess I am ready for man,
it will take some thought is My plan.
My best of all my creations I am seeing,
for this is a human being.
Man has been born,
he needs a mate so blow a horn.
A loving women has been made,
she will come to his aid.
It started with a blank canvas,
is the garden of Eden really in Kansas?
I made it all for love and not for falsehood,
I wonder if people will become no-good.

So much of our future remains a blank canvas, Paula. Affording us the God given opportunity to create our own futures. Through a restless pen you have revealed a reality both profound and majestic and a bit of humor thrown in. Enjoyed, Robert

Dear Paula, so true that God started His creation from void... from a blank canvas and He began with the tiniest beings to the creation of man, the crown of creation. Even God is not sure how man would react to His encompassing love. The story of creation is so beautifully told. Lovely poem in your characteristic child like simplicity.

Paula, what a journey into the mind and heart of God through the images of creation that express God's pure delight in creating our world and us along with God's knowledge that "falsehood" will eventually mar God's masterpiece. You have written this story with a simple, alluring elegance. Thank you! Blessings to you!

Dear Paula, Beautiful exploration of creation, anxiety, and the wonder of life's beginnings. The imagery you crafted, from fields of pretty flowers to mountains reaching the clouds, shows the creative process and the beauty of nature. I was particularly moved by your reflection on the creation of humans and the anticipation of what they will become. How you express hope and apprehension about the future is thought-provoking. Thank you for sharing your heartfelt words and inviting us to ponder the mysteries of creation and the potential of humanity. Blessings, Daniel
