It Is That Look In Your Eyes

it is that look in your eyes
that commences mine closing
the world disappears
the aroma in your hand 
echoes the feel as your shoulder
guiding, powering the arm
the deliverance is in hand
all the senses wait for the touching
held at bay by a Percheron steadfast
angel wings whisper 
as your hand arrives on my cheek
my heart in a pyroclastic bursting
as enchantment grasps 
every atom within me
where time and space have no meaning
and in that instant when lips meet
the Percherons are in a full gallop 
in a universe gravid with an elucidation
that consumes my life
a plethora of galaxies i so adore
all of this from a social event
i had no intention of attending
where just one perchance look
from afar across the room
became the smile on Klotho's face

Is poetry a reflection, or does each moment present vast possibility for art? I can envision your poems as beautiful paintings. Login to Reply Timothy Ray Date: 5/21/2023 9:15:00 PM i don't think we ever talked about it but i did a lot of research on the subject of soul mates. some of my poems crawl out of that research, however, this one is mostly mine...i will email more...i have quite the profile on them, they are not your average, i am not saying the term soul mate connot apply to only them...but the characteristics are solely theirs...sometimes i have accused myself of voyeurism...it all started on Youtube and romantic songs...getting replies grew to counselor websites...i will explain more in an email

Cheers - Gary Login to Reply Timothy Ray Date: 5/21/2023 8:33:00 AM actually Gary this is a remembrance....one that never leaves...and altho that novel ended....she is still very much with me, not only in memory but in life...for decades i never missed her birthday with a card...my recent move...she talked to realtors, secured me an apartment, had an insurance agent call me, set me up with new health plan, acquired paperwork from 2 doctors very close, potted plants in new apartment, oh, i can see the bus stop out my window, ya know in case i can't drive,and she lives 2.1 miles away....now Gary about those birthday cards... when your back is against the wall they are shoulder to shoulder and hand in hand next to you...
