It Is Not Easy-Dedication To Ill Poets

It’s Not Easy~ Dedication to Ill Poets

To think of beauty...when in a
hospital bed you lie,
You raise your eyes to heaven
and ask your creator...
Lord, why, and you cry!

Your fellow patient has machines
that sing through the night.
You cant leave the room, because
your broken leg has to heal.
I lie here, wondering ....why?

A few days ago, I was totally
free to go to my kitchen for a
refreshing drink.
Now I lie here, a medical prisoner,
my face-flushed, to level ten, pink.

I pray for other poet families,
and the suffering they endure.
On the other side of pain, is a
rainbow of happiness, so pure!

Writing through pain, provides a soul
some blessed relief.
One must think of glorious tomorrows
and carry a strong, innermost belief.

Dedicated to the ill poets here and their
families and friends, who do their best,
caring for them

A wonderful poem in tribute to ill poets, even though you are suffering yourself. I see from your replies you are being treated well which is a great help towards recovery. To those who have belittled you, … Everyone hurts sometimes, not only physically but emotionally too, remember it can happen to you… Belle

Yes, we should not hurt another. But I know those who loathe me here. Once we were friends. But new people came aboard and took away their friendship. I really dont understand it. Communicate with me via soup. Sometimes, even that does not work.alas, Have you in my heart....Panadiota xx

Dearest Panagiota you are constantly on my mind and as you say to lose your freedom to wander to your kitchen - well... the staff sound so caring and kind and I hope your bones are healing so that you will be back on your feet soon. As you say 'attitude is everything'. This is such a lovely tribute to all who are sick and suffering dear Panagiota. Sending much love to you and Irene ^~^ Ann xxxx

My sweet Ann! I feel the same. I tell my friends about you and other poet friends.....starting a rigorous physical therapy today. 3 hours long. OmG! This is the best traum center to be in. My poetry in the next few days will be about the things I experience here. A climb up a mountatain. If there are mountains, climb them. If there are dreams, dream them. Wish you were here!Elenas took a video of Irene...i got to see her. I love you, Panagiota xx

Hospitals are no fun, for anyone. Hope they are not giving too much grief about having visitors -- I know there are many new restrictions due to Covid. "Writing through pain, provides a soul some blessed relief." Well said. Blessings, Joe and Ila.

Hello Panagiota, when anyone is not feeing their best , I always wish them well. I say this to no matter who they are. To all religion it makes no difference to me. This is who I am. Your right no one should make anyone look stupid. That is very wrong. Hugs.

Darlene, hello.Better we care than shame other poets. How vulgar, mean and childish. Why poetry soup allows this is beyond me. In all religions, honoring our fellow man is primary.Making others look stupid, tells a lot about others. Pray for those poets who get off on harm. So sad. With respect and love.. Pangie
