Isn'T It Funny
Isn't it funny how we happened?
We met,
Something must have clicked,
I thought of you
I admired you from a distance,
As did you
I never thought you would ever like me,
You never thought I would like you
But I did,
And so did you
Isnt it funny how we grew to like each other?
More and more,
Day by day,
And either one of us saw the other one did?
I thought you were the most beautiful thing Ive seen,
But never thought it would happen
Although I wanted it to,
I never thought you liked me.
Little did I know, you did
And little did you know, I did as well
You always watched out for me
I wanted to tell you I liked you
Everytime I got close,
Id say something else
Then one day,
We came up with the courage to tell each other
You asked me out,
I said yes.
Together at last,
The love was so strong.
Isn't it funny we understood each other so well?
We could speak without words,
Id understand you and you understood me
Nothing could interfere
But I was wrong
Isnt it funny one person could do so much damage?
We were so close,
She pulled you away
You were there occasionally but oh so faintly
You were always there with me
But your hardly there now
I wait for you to come back
But sometimes you never come
And then Im alone
Isnt it funny how much it can hurt?
But the person you love is so blind to it?
I want him to see it
I want it to stop
Will you come back?
I wonder if he will ever see what is hurting me so.
I will wait for you to come back,
At least for as long as I can,
Or as long as I can hold out for...
