Islands

They know the world is round,
but to other other dwellers who surround
them, they know them not.

No visitors who come from other civilizations,
who come to tell them that they are either
too conservative or too eccentric.

Their minds give a faint yawn of boredom,
due to the same lifestyle and same faces
that they see everyday;
fear of crossing the BIG ocean has made
them to be specks of islands in an Island.

To each his own. We are all either too conservative or too eccentric, hopefully more eccentric than conservative. Nice write.
