Is There Any Love

Is there any love inside of your heart for me? 
Or am I just being used as a pen to write your story 
I know you've had it rough So I Don't want to rush you
But I need to know if you love me because I love you 

You've been through a lot, but so Have I so I understand 
I'll be honest and admit I won't have the strength to watch you with another man 
I don't mind waiting as long as I know we want the same thing
But I can't help you to fly if you're going to cut my wings 

I've put you first and laid it all out
I was the one to pick you up when you would fall down 
I've never felt this strongly about a girl
But at times it feels like you take me for granted and don't want me in your world 

You've been hurt by exes, is that why you're scared to give me a chance? 
Or are you keeping me to the side because you already have a secret man? 
If you do I wish you nothing but the best
But I'll have to go because I can't take that feeling striking my chest

I want nothing more than to begin a journey with you 
But I need to know if that's something you want to do
I'm ready to give you the world and love you with everything I've got 
I'd take a bullet for you, but I doubt you'd notice I'd been shot 

Having you as my girl is my only wish
If I can't have you by my side, I'll have to pretend you don't exist
I need to know if you want to start a chapter with me, or am I nothing more than spare ink to write your story? 
Is there any love inside of your heart for me?
