Slant Rhymes (sometimes called imperfect, partial, near, oblique, off etc.) are rhymes in which two words share just a vowel sound (assonance – e.g. “heart” and “star”) or in which they share just a consonant sound (consonance – e.g. “milk” and “walk”). ~see Types of Rhyme @dailywritingtips.com
Is that your voice I hear or is it just the cooing of the doves on this misty morning air? The sound is barely there as if from muffled tongues, or shuttered by death's door. Your absence leaves a scar~ memories are merely crumbs leading only to grief's bower.

beautiful imagery that captured those feelings of loneliness and grief. I felt those emotions...well done!

such intense feelings of a description grief and loneliness. excellent ink Chetta. I struggle with slant rhyme, thanks for the information at the top of the poem. :-) hugs Jan xx
