Is That a Smile

Yikes! I hope no one sees me
playing the role of a clown.
I do it for my master,
who is feeling somewhat down.
I admit I'm not pretty,
but that is so not the point.
And if I could find his stash
I'd simply roll him a joint.
So, what's a dog gonna do,
when his friend is in the dumps?
I'll prance around in a dress,
screw my pride and take my lumps.
If this doesn't get a smile,
what will he have me do next?
The things I'll do for a laugh
proves our love's super complex.
Come on, man; I've had enough,
leave a guy some dignity.
Okay, then just one last time,
hey, is that a smile I see?
