Is It You
~Is It You ? ~
This is for you, you know who you are
Your heart full of love, but you can’t get very far
The words that you read you read like a love letter
You know the words are for you, life couldn’t be better.
The picture of one so sweet looking in
You catch the eyes, and thoughts turn to sin
You cannot reach, the face in the square
But you know they are for you, if only you dare.
You want to write a sonnet or lyric full of love
You want to give yourself a tiny little shove
If only you dare to write how your heart swells
Your dreams to fulfil to hear wedding bells
You know it’s for you that this poem is writ
Go on I dare you - try to answer it..
You never can tell, it just may be you
That this poet here - is writing too...
