Irked By Her Moods

How the weather changes her flights
like a moody woman’s temperament!
A sunny beat trails along the lane
where birdsongs drone of summer’s glow;
my cotton dress bopping through morning air.
Then in a haste, pour of rain gushes
at 4 pm to douse my tresses,
flat like a broom. Oh, her capricious whims
spoil time's ritual until I crawl under
a broken umbrella and torn kerchief,
wiped out as a rinsed duckling.
And she laughs the night away, huffing
gusty winds across impetuous clouds
leaving me with a rattle of sneezes.
Though I am annoyed, irked by her ways:
rainy, sunny, windy all in a day;
my exasperation,sadly, has no force
against this goddess' elemental power.
