But my flames are pushed this way and that. Oranges and yellows aren’t used for warmth. I’m made into a weapon, for killing and hurting. My violence is fueled by their cruel words. They tell me i’m ugly and disgusting. I believe them, as I rise. Higher, Hotter. I forget about the passion and love. I forget about all the times I was helpful. I forget a time when I wasn’t mean and cruel. I forget that one time, I was cool. Red, used for hate and anger. No one remembers when it was once power. I’m defined by my heat. Nothing will change.
