Interlude In Darkness

I dreamed you tonight;
standing on the sheltered
deck where I live,
peering at myriad stars,
reminiscing.
A delicate voice carried
on warm summer air.
Whispers and soft laughter,
enticing to my ear.
Jeweled eyes glistened, sparkling
like the evening's shimmering stars,
measuring me.
Soft breaths swept leaves
into motion,
wafting the air,
touching me.
Glowing ember memories in
silence and darkness.
Your hands, elegant hands,
reaching, touching, reassuring.
Sun burnished skin.
Exquisite grace of curve, line,
and hollow. A lavish body.
I breathed your memory with each
infusion of fragrant night air.

I revel in these tempting
remembrances of you.

Thanks, Viv, an old girlfriend from years past recently contacted me through Facebook. I had accepted her as a friend not knowing who it was. She has a married name, LOL. She wanted me to write a poem that was expressive and not too naughty. I hope this was, and thanks for reading and commenting, Viv. Be Blessed

thanks, Richard for reading and commenting. A lady I dated years ago contacted me through Facebook. I didn't realize that I made her a friend as she had a married name, LOL. We have been emailing for a couple weeks. Family pictures, stuff like that. She wanted me to write something so I said I would do something personal but not erotic or anything. I appreciate your take on it, Richard. Thanks again!

Thanks, Danai, I am one of those guys that has trouble expressing himself in those terms. That is probably about are descriptive or romantic as I would get in a poem. Thanks for reading a commenting!!
