Intentionally
You never even bothered to try,
But yet so enthralled to peer into my life,
Like one of your millions of books on your shelves to read,
By the way, those books haven't really taught you anything,
It was all about the mystery and the thrill to read the next page,
Something you can study to distract your heart away,
You had to be the smartest with all your intellectual words,
You intentionally gained the knowledge yet you used like YOUR sword,
To push and pull people to sway to your side,
Not even realizing just how you were affecting their lives,
You intimidated them away from you so you could hold your position,
Instead of being yourself, you were running from your issues,
I write this now even though it was then,
You can be yourself around me I still love you friend.
