Congratulations on your placement Mr Kavanagh - you inspired myself and Lin too and made nonets the cool poetry form on the streets of PS!

Haha! I’m guessing my one was too hot to handle, oh well I’m delighted it spurred yourself and Lin on by making nonets sexy again lol! Cheers David

Absolutely Tom, a night of hot fire and passion, and most of the morning too lol! Always great when the shape works with form to produce a nice pattern on the page, thanks so much for kind comments, cheers David

Hello David, Well, you seemed to have choreographed a storm’s life, the paradox of intimacy, how it can be "barbaric" (nails digging, appetence spiraling) yet ultimately transformative. Every raging emotion’s desire. Sorry I’m a counselor and my thoughts are musing. Blessings, Daniel

Taken under counsellor’s advice Daniel, although none needed for this one lol, a mutual raw and torrid night of unapologetic passion; all programmed by nature, and sheer attraction, a lot of primal instincts going on here, I do like your musings on this one though, cheers David

There’s nothing I would find fault with in your sensually suggestive lines, David. I’m just as impressed that your intention flowed quite provocatively in rhyme. Shape and form are important in writing a Nonet… more so when it’s doubled. Intimacy, on any level is a healing balm that calms after riding out the storm.

Once said or once read, it cannot be forgotten. You could probably find some wiggle room. Ok. I’ll stop lol

You’re too kind Lin, haha brilliant (riding out the storm) wish I’d thought of that line for my sensual nonet, (I’m not sure I could fit any more in though) oh dear! forget I just said that, this one is going to get me in deep trouble! Ah stop it! Thanks so much Lin, for seeing the true essence of my poem, cheers David

Ahemhemhem Mr Kavanagh - what a beautiful poem about the healing power of physical touch (bar those nails perhaps). This poem certainly talks the talk! Good luck with the contest :)

That always adds to the challenge, syllable count, form and shape, aesthetically pleasing is always the goal, so hard lol! to capture in free verse!

Haha you're right! Any word suddenly risks eyebrow raising shock value lol - the time sequencing in this one makes that shape holding even more impressive. Nonets are notoriously technically difficult, yet you've mastered that as well as incorporating rhyme and it's aesthetically pleasing. Syllable counting success for sure!

Haha, unfortunately I only talk the talk in my poem, that’s all any of us can do :) I was delighted this one turned out (nice and compact), and (held its shape throughout) oh dear! no matter what I say will be considered suggestive, so I better not say too much :) thanks Miss LG, for seeing the beautiful healing power of erm…touch within my nonet, cheers David
