My sorrow at reading is only matched with my pride of the wonderful and strong person you have become. Hugs xx

That means a lot Line. I often felt a bit broken because I had a hard time understanding the attachment of adult children to their parent(s). But it did make me strong, and maybe even a better mother than I would have been.

This one touches my soul...The Motherless child may be the one left with hope. While the child with the absent mother suffers the most. Why do we find beauty in a truthful sadness? Loved your words

How sad, F.J. I wish your mother had been able to bestow love like mine did. Your short poem is very moving! Hugs, Carolyn

It would have been nice if my mother had felt that way. Hopefully if she ever had any more children after she left she eventually did. Thanks Rick

Heart wrenching and profound, FJ. Sometimes a person doesn't know how to give love when they haven't received it sufficiently. Great poem. Thanks for sharing.

So very true Judy. I did not understand the concept of love until I had my first daughter; then I could not imagine a world without her... the feeling only strengthened with my next two. Thank you Judy.

Ah many don't love so you are not alone. A lot of reasons make them not care. You expressed that superbly in senryu. Kudos. ---- ..............Plz pleez do read and comment my newest piece, a prose and do also read the articles and data I have copy pasted in comment section below that poem so you will confirm the matter further.
