Inspired By Shadow of the Past - I Too Have Walked Blind
I TOO HAVE WALKED BLIND
~~~~~~~~~
I too have walked blind,
the pitch darkness, I learned,
was in my mind.
Momentarily, my mind had fumbled.
I voiced a "grumble".
In that instant, I found the block,
the light returned,
I did not stumble.
The block was the deaths of many!
Innocents facing death, mental trauma.
I pondered, look to my muse,
she too is confused,
I look into her eyes,
there I read words, ancient words!
She guides my quill, it scribes.
"They no not what they do"!
She looked at me and said,
"I too now seek respite,
though I will rest
I'm pleased,
we both can see the light we must follow,
the fight for what is right".
I was left alone, my pondering done,
I sought my pillow, it holds fantasies.
For a few hours in them, I shall wallow.
To you Shadow of the Past, the world,
I wish a safe goodnight!
Let the morrow's light guide you, us all,
to a life free of hate, wars and sorrow!
