Insidious Beeping

The tumultuous pain needing release
Sending chimes upon my brain increase
Insidious beeping
And always creeping…
Of nurses--shoving needles on my crease

OH Russell. You can make poetry from anything. Insidious is a GREAT word for it too. May you soon be out of all this and back to stellar health.

Ah! I hate those needles too, but sometimes we need them, you'll be fine soon, Russell:)

Ouch Russell your poem made me wince and smile at the same time... but if the needles help you with the pain relief its a small price to pay. I USED to have needle phobia but have beaten this recently by having chocolate to eat whilst they are doing it and having a bottle of water to drink - has worked for me the last 5 bloodtests and i went for one on my own for the first time in over 20 years!:-) hugs Jan xx
