Dear Suzette, congratulations for your success in Mark's contest with your exceptional and timely poem. Very creative and thought-provoking indeed! Your last line is chilling as AI is employed by some, maybe many.. but it doesn't have to be that way with everyone, I believe that still too many of us truly enjoy the genuine creative process. I know I do and would never give up my pride and joy for creating something original. Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

“You are on your own. PS may police the poems to their heart’s content—count me out. It makes me feel like a Nazi spying on my friends. It is time consuming and it chows my data.” From my blog, 12 June 2024 (yes, more than a year ago) – I suppose that it is a case of WHO says it (points I have made then are now being touted as new ideas). When I wrote the article, AI Assist versus AI-generated Poetry | PoetrySoup.com, I was ostracized for it. I wrote the blog, JUDGING GUIDE FOR SPONSORS - Suzette Richards's Blog (poetrysoup.com), when my opinion was sought on the subject. Now? I keep my own council and read and enjoy ... Or just have fun: 'The Quidnunc' Limerick string. :) Thanks for reading and commenting, Susan.

Suzette, congr tul t ons on your top 10 w n on M le 4 of my 2025 Poetry M r thon Contest. Keep your runn ng shoes on, bec use M le 5 h s lre dy st rted. All fun aside, your poem powerfully demonstrates how AI can eventually “replace the creative process we’re all endowed with,” if we let it.
