Inner Knowledge

I have an inner voice that speaks to me,
      the gift of inner knowledge about true self is my key;
and because of this- my soul is free.
   What lays deep within me is my beauty,
   finding the invisible is my duty;
     this knowledge makes me pure,
         and my spiritual character will ever endure.
      I have learnt the good way of life,
        to be true to me no matter the strife;
          I follow the teachings of the spirits in the sky,
          my spiritual guides from birth until I die.

The teaching of my Ojibwe Grandfather's are true
   I was taught goals to always pursue;
and I will share them with you.
   Wisdom is something to always cherish,
   without this humanity will perish;
      to know and give unconditional love,
        even when love has flown above.
      Respect must be given to be received,
        face life with bravery and integrity is achieved;
           honor all life's creatures, be honest and humble,
           do this and inner knowledge will never crumble.

A finely penned piece Jan, nice rhyme and flow with wise insight conveyed for our good. Our inner voice is not to be refused but heeded for our good. Have a blessed day, Gordon
