Inner Child

Her hair was golden brown, and she Had the smile of an angel Id often sit and wonder what she thought She had a laugh that rang like tiny silver bells as it Hopped, skipped, jumped on the beat Of my heart I try to recall her smile, it fades At times and i can no longer hear The echo of her Joy She is gone from me and i am forgetting Even the taste of her name As it rolls off my tongue at times Little one i long for, i did not miss Yet she haunts me But she no longer smiles
