Inky-Dinkys

Inky Dinkys

Here in our family – our own vocabulary
Skizzors cut fabric – lettucini in our salads;
Flutterbies in the garden – burple for purple;
Empires on first base – the Umpire strikes back;
Alfanso Bedoya – no stickin’ badgers;
Brepfast in the morning – linner for brunch;
Jimmy blue jeans in denim – round John the virgin;
Ba-cops for dinner – don’t tell the lambies;
Grasses for glasses – born in my mother’s ami;
Compartment apartments – what could be truer;
Fork chops for dinner – headlights for bugs!
Seeing my attle – with a little switch cheese;
Two-fers see the dentists – mouse-t… on hot dogs;
Frog thick as fog – a Nole for Noel;
Ergick for Eric – Sam-a-lama for Sam;
In our remembery
An expotiton to Pineapple Lake
To ski in Swoon valley
Or surf on Mt. Rabbits;
Don’t turn on the blinklers cause I hate to get wet;
For my appletite as I tuck my snooba-does in bed
I think I'll grab the last middleman cookie
Then throw out the trash into the Oscar Can;
Now it’s a co-ink-ca-dink we understand
But my confuser – so baffled and slightly annored,
Just can't comprehend my mercy bo-ku
As it red lines each line of this crazy whimsy
And after this verse it needs a "stay-cation!"

Really, these crazy words have been coined, and used, in my family!

Congrats Sam: I like your family lingo. My hubby and I often eat linner and call it that and familiar with flutterbys. Spell check must have drove you crazy trying to put in all those words. SuZ

wow, the most amazing thing is that your family actually uses all these coined words and phrases!! It must be for little kids when they can't talk very well.A few of the words seemed for that reason. GREAT job. I don't know your placement you got, but Congratulations.

Hi again! Some of the words were coined by our kids, some by family members and many by my husband and I. They are the text of our family legends of memories! Now you have confirmation we do have a slightly crazy family that laughs a whole lot. Thank you for your congratulations! I am so grateful for all of your messages, dear friend!

Oh, you never Caesar to amaze me, Sam-a-lama! Your most whimsiful write in recent remembery. It's no co-ing-ca-dink that you've witted my appletite for more. Can you guess my favorite? the Umpire strikes back, of corpse! My cheeks hurt from smiling. Mercy bo-ku, and best twitches in the contest!

Gershon, I love your comments - full of such mischief in lighter moments! These inky-dinkys are fun. I think we need to smile and laugh with each other now. How about a virtual laugh? We have been having virtual dinners, cocktail parties and family gatherings. Such a hoot! Stay healthy and safe my friend. Blessings!!
