Inevitable Scars

Some will doubt you, some will cheer you,
Smile to all but trust very few.
For each and every encounter,
Keep your head on but allow your heart to grow fonder.

Not insinuating it’s all dark shades of black,
I at times wish there are moments I could take back.
Offering baskets and baskets endlessly,
Little did I know they were all but lessons to learn from tremendously!

Looking forward to every morn,
I refuse to let the scars from yesterday pour.
There will be days you’ll feel blue,
But understand my child that yesterday is through.

Observe and listen,
Oh this life is not a prison.
Think twice before you draw the blinds,
For there is much you must leave behind.

Give it your all every day,
Fearlessly, courageously, fighting your prey.
Always remembering that life is full of inevitable scars,
Heal these scars and let them take you very far!
