She marches along by herself in this world,
Her drum beats a different tune,
She says and does the things that she wants,
Under the light of the moon,
And she ignores the petty rules of the crowd,
She avoids a life on the phone,
She chooses, instead, to do her own thing,
Her actions are fully her own,
She’s the one red pencil in a case full of blue,
She’s the girl whose never been bought,
She’s that one single girl, in a crowd full of copy,
Who lives with her unaided thought.
And with these thoughts she owns every day,
The one thing that people can see,
Is, she’s emotionally true to the “Who” that she is,
She’s honest and open and free.
