Inanimate Monsters of the Sea

I feel sad, and it feels so helpless to me So little to do about the monsters of the sea They go north, then south; east, then west No one can steer them or bring them to rest So they go on to wreck and ruin, pour and blow, until the water ways are filled from their flow They have eyes but see not, but they sense their source of energy Their source is diminished at landfall; so they start to cease activity Their fuel is supplied by the warm waters of the sea Perhaps they themselves long for the day to be set free* They stretch us to the max, thereby making us better They batter and bruise us, but their storms we manage to weather They must be respected, but we need never to be terrified by them We are not alone in this world; we are cared for and protected by HIM I suppose for survival, the fish of the sea finds pathways to go deeper I pray that our love for God and for each other will also grow deeper 09092017 PS Contest, September Standard, Brain Strand *Romans 8:21,22
