In Vain

no body cares, listens or understands
useless, senseless, meaningless actions yearend

what's the point anyway
everyday is the same
every change is an illusion
our life is a spiral
the starting point is the same as end
what do we really mend

what do we learn
except failure to bend
our initial misery

that is the trend
of a life we spend
in a locked land
loneliness we apprehend
longing for a friend
our values we offend
happiness we pretend
honesty we suspend
hope comes to a deadend
nothing blends
reality we transcend
hopelessness we expand
ultimately
our own selves we unfriend
