In Their Sleep

In their sleep
they dreamed barren dreams
to conquer the earth
to become mountains that move
trillionaires that own the world
lakes that never flow to oceans
Tsunamis that upset continents
thunder and lightning
that send all creatures hiding
but they forgot they are simple mortals
that perish as tomatoes
