(Terza Rima Sonnet) Elated illusions laugh at my reason Creations of my mind erase dark shadows I care I search for the joy in each season Beauties this awesome only God can compose His light glistens in the stars, the sun, the moon Who floods our souls with dreams we never oppose Life, at times, seems more like a funny cartoon Than moments we’ve spent bringing our love to life Time’s more crucial than a lazy afternoon Even though we acknowledge a bit of strife Our prayers are answered by stirrings of grace Inspirations some don’t find until midlife Rustling winds with dancing leaves I often face Just when I feel like this life I can’t embrace
