We all should take responsibility for keeping this earth clean I get so upset when I see trash thrown I wish there be more law enforcing individuals who think they can trash a beautiful area how selfish and rude is that? I can't imagine being inside their homes, eeeeh lol. Great message Linda God bless you...

Yes we should Michael. Littering is one of my pet peeves. We were never allowed to, in my outdoorsy family, leave trash outside. Still, we often take a bag to pick up trash while we are hiking, or just walking to the mail box. Yikes! Thanks for stopping by. :)

Great job,Linda. I don’t know how to make people care about things on this earth. I really don’t. If we expect the world to just automatically roll out to be clean and wonderful that is not going to happen. So as long as people won’t listen, it won’t be any changes. And we deserve all we get. We don’t want to be upset so for that reason alone, we might be in great danger, but we refuse to look at it. Pangie xxx

Hi elle - well done! It's nice that some people clean up, and it's sad that many don't.

Thanks Dave my friend. Sadly, not only beaches and water sources. Our Texas highways are abominable...like driving with Tina in Mad Max. LOL

Callous men through garbage and dump plastics into the rivers and oceans. All the warnings to keep the water from getting polluted fall flat in deaf ears. Powerful poem, dear Linda.

Well, I hope that our present beaches can be preserved for future generations. I like the saying, come, stay, enjoy, leave nothing but footprints and take nothing but memories home. Thanks for sharing this one with us. Sara K

It appears there is an ecological disaster. The beach needs help. I hope your poem energizes beachgoers. Good idea.

Thanks Hilda. A day on the beach for me includes picking up other people's trash along with my own. Jeeesh...you'd think their parents taught them nothing. :)

Microplastics? A modern day scourge. Divine intervention the only real solution - Matthew 24:14. Nice concrete form Linda
