In the Rafters- Teach Me a Lesson Contest

A beach ball stuck in the rafters Been there for seven long years Filled with air from the lungs of a stranger Reminiscing about their past peers Where now still lies some pieces of me Felt like wind passing by, but not seen A presence waits there yet I never came back Until returned by those with whom I'd been Something I've done or a saying I've said A memory held and kept by a friend Can I find them and ask, who was I then Those moments in life, time that we spend Are these pieces more than the air that I breathed A forgotten day conjured back in my soul Someone who was once, pieced back together From the rafters, in a beach ball, kept whole
