In the Distance
In the distance, I see your smile
The clouds in their infinite beauty
Acquiesce
And send you to me
In the distance, I hear your voice
The breeze in its merciful caress
Confesses
That you miss me too
In the distance, as the rains fall
You’ll know that these are my tears
Professing
How I long for you
In the distance, that lay between us
I won’t rest until I am touching you
Embracing
As it’s meant to be
