In the Depth of Slumber

In the depth of my slumber
I could see the nobility
Of the dream laid out
Before Me

 Tantalizing, enticing, raptureous 
Glee, thus it entangles my mind
 Like streamers round a may pole 
 Wrapping me up in it's pleasant
Tranquility

Parading it's surreal beauty down 
 The main thorough fare that
Winds its way through my mind scape

I am enthralled By vivid images
Of carnation pink mountains
Floating across a periwinkle sky
 Their peaks Haloed by cornflower blue
Fuchsia and seafoam green clouds

I watch winged horses Prance upon
A sunset tapestry
I see maidens dressed in stunning
Attire their angelic voices  serenade
The moon as it begins its ascent 

 Amidst the shimmering moonbeams
Frolic secret words of a poet
The incantations dazzle the mind
 And leave this dreamer breathless
Speechless on my knees before
The majesty of the dream and the
Nobility of it laid out before me

 So in the depth of your slumber
Try to see the nobility of the dream
Laid out before you and enjoy it
For dreams such as this
are precious and few

 Sleep deep and dream well

This poem goes deep, deep into the psyche beyond the conscious to the sub-conscious where days gone bye are stored waiting to be brought to light in verse.
