Notes About The Poem

In the Attic Waiting

in the attic of an abandoned house
was found a very old trunk, locked
thinking it held treasure it was opened by force
and inside lay the skeleton of a child ... curled up
wearing a mouldy taffeta dress with faded lace
whispering- all I wanted was to play hide and seek

Wow... that would be a grizzly find. I got chills. Poe would be proud of this one. Well done. Have a great day.
