Thank you Eric. It’s only in the last hundred years that the pigeon has fallen out of favour; we as a society are so fickle. xomo

I don't live to far from my friend who trains homing pigeons. Exactly how many he's got I don't know. They do some great stuff when they fly all together. He enters them in contests and comes home with thousands so I guess you could say this is a good business. Your poem had me thinking of pigeons. Good one.

Yes, the pigeon has always been a dove, a beautiful bird and symbol of peace. A beautiful brown pigeon visits my balcony often. I was told it's called a common ground dove, but there's nothing common about it. Although the name seems fitting when speaking of peace...thank you again for your support this week, Mo. Have a wonderful weekend. Blessings, Rhonda xx

Thank you Deepa. Up until recently I kept doves in my bedroom. They're too old to let loose safely so they've been moved to a flight cage in the living room- I miss waking up to them. Warm hugs, mo

You write with the words a dove would use, which makes me wonder about your name, "pigeon tart." :)

I had no idea, but thanks for the information. My Dad used to call my mother 'pigeon' so now it seems she was as a dove to him. :)

I am a pigeon fancier! I don't know if you know this, the word pigeon refers to the larger or domesticated dove species, and all of the fancy pigeon breeds are bred from the Rock Dove, which is the common feral pigeon. It's variable colours come from past human breeding. I could go on... ;), Thank you Jenna! xomo
