Extinction, pollution - 2 poems dealing with major issues read in a row, by me, on this brand new day. So glad you are meeting these issues head-on in your writings as I try to wake everyone up about litter. We must deal with these issues w/o letting depression take us. So glad of all like-minded people and their presence on our shared planet. All this to say, I like your Haiku and Congratulate you on your win ... CayCay

We cannot close our eyes to world problems, CayCay; the situation is already bad enough. Politically we have little say, but at least we can raise awareness through our poetry. Thank you for liking and commenting! ~ Regards // paul

I am pleased that you like it, Kim. The picture prompted some inspiring ideas, but none were easy to express in just 3 lines. Have not had much time for writing, too many other priorities! Thank you for the encouragement:) hugs // paul

This picture somehow reminds me of Africa. This beautiful haiku you have created was inspired by this stunning photo Paul. Best of luck in the contest. I was too late to enter so posted my attempt at pft. Cheers, Connie
