In My Place
Riding on a wave of misery and pain-
Is like trying to find sunshine in the rain.
Falling from a monument dedicated to the dead-
I feel like no one's heard anything I've said.
Sorrow follows me, like some lost little dog-
As I traverse through life, as in a thick fog.
So if you see me, with no smile upon my sullen face-
Remember, if not for good luck, you'd be in my place.
