In Field of Yellow Gold

sunflowers 
     turn their long necks 
          to face 
               the midday sun.
                    dandelions glow 
                         as bright as 
                              sunshine.
                                   a woman 
                              pricks out 
                         marigolds 
                    in blazing 
               embers of noontide.
          in golden yellow field
     child 
chases butterflies
