In Defense of Charles Manson

Reform school is where he spent most of his childhood. From there he went to prison for the bulk of his adulthood. Paranoid Schizophrenia is the medical diagnosis of Charles Manson. I'm sure he displayed many symptoms of this disorder while he was in prison. When he was informed of his upcoming prison release, he literally begged prison officials as he fell down to his knees, "This is the only life that I know. Please don't make me go." "I'll die out there, " he pleaded with tears in his eyes. "Please listen to me. I'm telling you truthfully. If you send me out there I'll never survive." Which brings me to think, who is truly the guilty party of the Tate-La Bianca murders? Had prison officials taken him seriously, when he pleaded on his knees NOT to be released, the Tate-La Bianca tragedy most certainly would have never occurred.

To Sylvia - He's not my hero you ignorant fool, but you're correct, I'll give air time to anyone even a vile woman like you. I pray to God that one day that Charles Manson will meet you. Best Wishes Always, Bill (Still way ahead of you on the foul comments Sylvia. Try to be more creative. Please, will ya?)"

If he got let out, IF someone didn't get to him- he'd likely be a "cult leader" with all the propaganda and screwed up kids around who warship this guy... and they are out there. This was a great write, Bill. Enjoyed very much.

Interesting thoughts that you present here after all these years.I remember that and I have seen a movie I think about it.I think that I saw Manson actually in prison and maybe talking to a reporter or an interviewer. At this time it was definitely evident that he was insane. There is some meds that can help schizophrenia sometimes but not all times and the person has to take the meds.I deal with mental disease everyday in my grandson who lives with me who has HD.There are no meds for this now..SK

If I recall rightly Charles Manson spent most of his life in prison prior to these murders - Point being that no one cared about rehabilitaion then and no one cares now - I dont know what the answers are William but I enjoyed your write immensely - Someone who pens a write about the likes of Charles Manson has my seal of approval lol - Thanks for sharing -:) Fascinating subject matter no matter how abhorant -:)

very interesting write. I did not know he had told prison officials about the movie star murder before he performed it. Maybe I missed something about that. Nice seeing you. Andrea

Yes, we have to heed these warning signals. The Manson murders could have been avoided if prison officials had just recognized how dangerous he and his followers were. Good work, Bill! Love, Carolyn
