In Between

Darkness falls Demons call Angels of darkness People of hate I'm surrounded Death appears Dark clothes Yet a comforting glow Hands reach out to help Death's worn and withered hands calmly and soundlessly reach for me Family Friends Foes They call out to save me I look to them I look at death I throw my hands in the air I cannot choose Today is not my time I'm consumed by fear and sadness Death beckons me softly Like a whisper My friend's and family's shouts echo like bullets I stand between life and death Unable to commit to either I am In between
