In Anticipation

He
held my
hand with such
a gentle grasp and
I almost lost his
hold as the sweat slowly
dripped down my arm as he was
walking me to my front door and
I was waiting in anticipation
for that one an only first love's kiss.

Such emotion you capture in this talented write, right down to the sweat, that almost caused you to lose his hold on your arm.Smile, Sincerely, Moses

Beautiful imagery. I especially liked the description of the sweat and how you almost lost your hold. Either it was a hot summer night or the anticipation really did affect you so much. I could only fathom what impact the kiss had that followed the anticipation. alas the poem ends just before and I'm left to devise my own imaginings:) thanks for sharing. also thanks for being the only one that got my Starry Night concept. -Yoni
