In a World Where I Do Not Exist

Oh, in a world where I do not exist
is beauty unimaginable, for
the landscapes and the waters have been kissed
by vibrant colors; also there's no war
because those living there are all aware
of what is right and wrong, and they all know
their purpose. There nobody has despair.
Everyone and everything has a glow
which emanates from God’s redeeming light.
The souls residing there by thought commune,
and never do their dwellings suffer blight.
To all infirmities they are immune.
I lived there once upon a time . . . I’m sure.
I hope my place there once more to procure.

How beautiful... and full of truth and hope. Our physical flesh bodies may not exist, or have existed, in that age, but our souls, our essential selves are immortal, belonging to God who created them. I believe the only way a soul may die is by our informed choice. Such a thoughtful poem, xoxo

One place where " . . . light fails star-bud blooms" and another ~ " . . . a promised place, a table set in brighter rooms ~ beyond regret". The power of the Christian mythos but also an acquiescence to a collective reverie. ~~ " and what is good, Phaedrus, And what is not good--Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?" ~Robert M. Pirsig, "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance"

There are many similar attributes in NDEs such as the bright light and the feeling of unmatched love no matter the cultural background of the experienced

Asking ANY “Near-Death” Experiencer, reveals a consistency in personal expectations and commensurate cultural objects of the subject’s religion.

not sure what you exactly are saying, but ask any near death experiencer, and they will tell you what we are missing out on

I can not begin to imagine Heaven, but I see myself at least on one of its many levels.

It sounds like Heaven, or a place one lives in childhood dreams. Either way, I like it.
