In a Perfect World
In a perfect world,
We would all be accepting.
We would look past color,
And focus on personalities.
In a perfect world,
Our hearts wouldn't be filled,
With such strong hatred.
We'd accept each other,
And not notice the flaws in one another.
In a perfect world,
You could be whoever you want;
Without society getting in the way.
It would be accepted,
And nobody would have a say.
In a perfect world,
Everyone would have a home.
They would always have a family,
Of their very own
In a perfect world,
Everyone would be able to love who they please.
Nobody would have to worry about,
Dating a woman or a man,
Based on what gender they are.
In a perfect world,
Nobody would kill themselves;
Or hurt themselves in any way.
Everyone would be happy,
And there would be,
No such thing as pain.
This is not a perfect world,
And it makes me ashamed.
Because of the ignorant people;
Who are the only ones to get a say.
