That is so true. Everything needs to be instant for them. My grandkids are not allowed to ever tell me they are bored. When they said that to me one time I gave them so much to do that they will never tell me that again. Lol I love the humor in this piece and it actually made me laugh so thank you for that my friend. A brilliant little senryu! : )

Thank you so much Connie and I’m pleased it made you laugh. It was my intention to combine truth and humor. I cannot always pull it off. Observing kids can sure give us something to write about and that is for certain.

LOL! I find Senryu is a perfect genre for humor... dark or light. Thank you for spending your time here and for stopping in. I plan on stopping to read a couple of yours today too!

No wonder we grumble that life is become too fast! Looking forward to split-second travelling...and that elusive time machine. Love your sense of humour, Edlynn. ~ Regards // paul

Ah I’m glad you got a smile out of this. Agree with you! Most are living at warp speed and are missing the first best things. HA I wrote a poem about Time Machines... there are many! Thanks for reading Paul.

Love it! I remember our mom and our grandmother both cooking on a wood stove. They were truly great cooks and never rushed it, rushing does not increase flavor or quality. Short, sweet and to the point ..

LOL! My great Aunt did a wood stove. Grandmother was cooking with gas! Both were amazing cooks with everything from scratch. Oh to have another meal at grandma’s. Thanks for eyeing this one. Evelyn Wood Speedreading required!

Too funny on what is considered a loooong time now. Nano seconds! I’m finding out how fun Senryu is for humor. Thanks for reading Dear Heart!
