IMMORTALITY
I wasn’t born into this world to fly with platinum wings.
I wasn’t born to carry a golden light.
I will be remembered, my legacy will carry on.
I never craved immortality.
The Sisters' Fate has brought me down a path.
Where my inner voices.
My words.
My pen.
Designed a different destiny.
I will be remembered, my legacy will carry on.
When the gilded horse and carriage come for me.
Ashes left to be blown in the wind.
My quill left to dry.
My voices, no longer written.
My words, no longer heard.
What I have scribed will be left behind.
Printed on pages for all to see.
I will be remembered, my legacy will carry on.
Immortality not of the flesh,
Immortality of a name left behind
A legacy of who I may have once been.
A book of prose on a shelf .
That now has a home.
I will be remembered, my legacy will carry on.
