Imagining Being Stars

Some say that when we die, our souls soar up and touch the sky, And even those with songs unsung across the universe will be flung. Perhaps to far-off galaxies or places that no earthling sees. Can you imagine places that no one has even heard of yet? The energy or spark we call the soul will not end up – I’m sure – in some black hole. I hope it’s true that we’ll end up in Paradise. Most would agree that would be so very nice! But maybe when we die, our spirits fly and change to brightness in the endless sky, Imagine if into the great unknown we go becoming stars whose destiny is but to glow! Think of other beings – maybe in another galaxy - in the future looking upward in their skies to see stars which have been named, and for even me– a misfit, there is a star with my name on it! Beautiful thoughts, Andrea: I have the same belief about our life spark. Since energy can’t be destroyed it will go on. Glad you won with this beautiful flowing verse. Hugs, SuZ

I think you can pay to have a star named after you but God has already named them. Thanks for all the visits to my page. I enjoyed reading your work. Sara

Wouldn’t it be nice if every star was an angel in paradise, scattered across the universe, seen but unheard. Yet, hearing every word said on earth, they’d pick out I know, all those they loved below, making sure they weren’t hurt or ever hurt anyone, so that a star in heaven for them would be reserved... lovely poem, Belle
