Imagery
Writing a poem is just like painting
Diverse images created with words.
A poet paints them while he's thinking,
And colors them with the feelings stirred.
As the lines breathe forth and touch,
A poem may show vivid imagery.
A portrait or a landscape, a scene and such
A picture is thus framed in poetry.
Imagery is a poet's tool, his colors
In the mind's canvas that bring pictures.
It's in simile, symbolism or metaphor-
Figures of speech he uses as partners.
