"Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought
and the thought has found words." Robert Frost
I write upon thin silicon wafers of time
etching words into the clay of today,
a parched parchment, devoid of tears.
And like dust in the air,
my words float freely from one cloud to another,
instead of lying stagnate on a shelf.
I hope to give the reader a glimpse of myself,
speaking as to a sister or brother
fueling feelings we all share.
Writing of joys and fears,
I describe emotions in a poetic way
curtailing anxiety's upward climb.
I pen ubiquitous feelings in verse and rhyme,
as relevant tomorrow, as today,
for truths stand fast over the years.
Believe me; love's out there,
so carry that thought like a surrogate mother,
and give birth to a new image of self.
