I'M Ready Lord

As the sun rises i give thanks for a brand new day 
i pray that all my family and friends are all alive and well 
the lord has given me the strength to face a brand new day 
so i will go out there to accomplish my goals and a new story i will tell

i will walk with my chest high because i am the leader of tomorrow 
i will go out there and set examples so all my kids can one day follow 
i will teach them the ultimate tool of survival and that is to show love 
and not to walk around with a evil mind and a heart that is all shallow

i am a person that has a clean heart and i was crafted with a pure mind 
so i don't know how to show others a bad face or even hold a grudge 
in all my actions in life i always walk by the principles laid down by god 
i live my life to please only me and him i don't worry about any other judge

I’m not a perfect person but i acknowledge what is right and what is wrong 
I’m a true believer in god’s word so i try to live by his ten commandments 
i was a sinner back in the pass and i was trying to keep up with the crowd 
but god opened my eyes and i saw clearly I’m proud of my advancements

i teach my kids the right principles of life so they can survive in this world 
and even when they are wrong i correct them but still show them my love 
and even when family or friends mess up i always offer them my opinion 
i love being myself and will remain that way until i reach the skies above

i am not declaring that i am the best person that you will ever meet in life 
but i try to be fair in all that i do and always respect other people’s feelings
i was labeled as a mama's boy because i always listened to my mother
but children obey your mother and father is one of the lords teachings

in all that you do think first because one day you will be called to answer
and you are the one that has to face the lord and receive your punishment
growing up i made a lot of mistakes along the way to reaching adulthood 
i am a lot wiser now and I’m ready for when it’s time to face my judgment
