I'm just getting started- again, again
I had to walk away from you
we will be just shadows on the wall of time
not meant to be a you and me
no, sweet we forever . . . .
my heart is already drowning in memories
for you broke down my walls and
found me waiting. . .
helped me grow stronger and
able to dream my dreams
but we come from very different worlds
oh, I will never, ever forget you . . .
or the laughter, fun, and sharing we had
you will always shake the ocean of my sleep
and I will keep our love within my heart
my heart is already drowning in the memories
because you made me better, stronger
I will hold you in my heart like a blanket of memory
and now I am just getting started . . .
with a new found life and path
I set forth into the whirlwind that is this life
and you cannot see my tears . . .
we would only grow to hate
each other in the end
even though there was passion and lust
that would have faded . . .
because we come from a different place
oh yes, life is a lighted window and a closed door
You know, I could never fit into your world
and you are out of place in mine . . .
so, I'm just getting started with the new me
I am ready to drink from the deep blue sky . . .
