I'M Burrowing

I'm burrowing inside today because outside, it's cold and grey. I'd hate to be a socialite; I much prefer to sit and write, so here inside my house I'll stay. . . And in this little getaway, You'll find me in no negligee. Instead, it's PJ's none too tight! I'm burrowing. I'll watch a TV matinee; take time to see my kitties play! I'll pop some corn when it is night, then snug in bed and feeling quite content, nod off. . . And that's okay! I'm burrowing. You constantly amaze me, Andrea. Do you know how to write even a mediocre poem? I am SUCH a fan. Congrats on the selection. Love, Dave

Ahh! Burrowing, one of my favorite pastimes with Jacky on my right side, and Ginger to my left, each watching, guarding, coveting that center throne lap position! Which would wane cold from jealous siege if not for my keyboard and lap-time rationing program for these two overly competitive dachshund alpha female want-to-bees:) Your poem both takes me and finds me in the moment. God's love, Tim.

writing is KEY. i don't blame you, most of the time i want to stay inside and write. but no one lets me. only at night. haha.SOMETIMES. i like this poem. anyway,i don't think your comment came through. it might have been the fault of my account. maybe. i was going to post a poem today, or tomorrow(: and i write short stories out of my poems. i think i have written about 7. 5 were for my creative writing course. awesome write. any poet can relate. -Always&Forever Lynette

Burrowing, it has its own feeling of wholeness doesn't it? Sometimes the holes we burrow into aren't the comfort we seek though. Thanks for the comment, and in a way it is drowning, it's the sense of unwanted goodbyes as best as I can convey. Samir

One more answer and I am out of new poems from you. About the wreath. I took ten of them to the cemetary this year but my son truly was the object of this poem. I lost him ten years ago but he is as fresh in my memory as when he was with me every day. Thanks for all of your comments and I recognize a kindred spirit in you. Love, Joyce
