I'M Alone Now

I met her at a party. so quite by accident spontaneously Just as all ordinary loves begin And then after ... after, we're orange for two We had a cramped bed So we're on the floor She spoke You'll catch a cold, you little fool What are you stubborn, She spoke Do you know how much I love you Wait for me to finish You know nothing He tickled his soles she laughed And then at midnight, we walked by the river And the river at midnight ... It rustles and smells somehow different ... divine And in the split of light Her little handle is gone I'm alone now Alone on this coast And I have no one ... no one but her in the mind, in the heart And that little puppy of ours, I walk on a long leash I'm just a beggar He begged her hand E My queen, my beautiful angel, As a thought, I wander the splinters of the day and hope

Your passion shines in this lovely poem Stefan. I read through some of your poetry and I think you are especially gifted at expressing romantic poetry. A warm welcome back to Poetry Soup. Blessings and Aloha, Connie
